God’s DNA (11/13/2016)

This sermon used Ephesians 6:10 as the text.  The word finally is not in the original Greek. The Greek language does not note time as we are accustomed to.  So it would read, “From now on and for the rest of your life.”  This is an imperative…command…be strong. Again, in the Greek this is a passive because we cannot make ourselves strong, however it is all about how we position ourselves.  It is sad that some of the weakest people are Christians, people with God’s very own DNA inside of them!  We are commanded to walk out our life by the faith of God.  God cannot make you live by His divine nature within you, it is your choice.

You see Adam was created and formed a living being with God’s own breath in his nostrils, making him spirit.  However, Adam lost this DNA when he sinned, he was then in spiritually separated or in spiritual death.  Humankind was then reduced to live by their soul/senses/reasoning.  When one is born again the nature of sin is taken out and replaced with the very nature of God (1Jn. 1:9).  You are born of God and His seed remains in you.  2 Peter 1:3,4 God has given you all things that pertain to life and godliness according to His divine power and through the knowledge of Him.  Gal. 5:16-23 Everyone receives the same measure of anointing.  But you cannot walk in the DNA in your spirit if you continue to walk by flesh.  If you continue to walk in the flesh you cannot enjoy the power of God.

There are two ways to become strong in the Lord, meditation in the Word and prayer in the Holy Ghost (tongues). God’s DNA resides in you. The very wisdom and power, the very living, tangible power of God! With the Word of God as your confession of faith walk in the power of His might/authority.
