What is going on in our world today?  Who is in control?  Twenty some years ago people exited church because of the “negativity.”  Tired of having someone judge their behavior, thoughts, how they dressed, etc…Did not want to hear judgment, gloom and doom.  I remember hearing many sermons about the end is near?!  Well, we left the walls of church, took God out of the equation and conversation so that we no longer need to be conscious of His approval/disapproval.  We now have an “apolcalyptic mentality” in our marketplace and political arena.  Everyone is a “god unto themselves” and depending on who you are listening to that particular day you are now subject to their “truth.”  It is very comforting that there are three things God cannot do: fail, lie, or change.  Maybe it would be a good idea to bring Him back into the conversation….just saying….?
