This show brings to the table the question of the purpose of going to church. Why don’t people go to church? Oftentimes there was a hurt experienced there and they never return. If church was part of God’s plan and gives purpose to “doing life”, why are we oblivious to this? The fact is we are ignorant of the teaching of the purpose of the body of Christ. God still needs a body to manifest through. Many times we pray, fast, wait, etc..we have expectations and are disappointed in our experiences with God. But the truth is God is waiting on us! The other thought is that there is an adversary that comes to blind our spiritual eyes to the reality of God and His plan.
The two spiritual experiences are introduced. The born again experience is of a personal nature and does not require the enduement of power. We look at the Great Commission in the gospels and see the differences of purpose in the accounts. If Jesus did nothing until the experience of enduement for ministry why do we think it is not necessary for us? Multitudes were drawn to Him when He did the works that God ordained. These works are still ordained for the church but the church has not been taught or stirred in faith to step up and then step out in this power to witness. Three baptisms were discussed and much more!
Is God’s Word divine revelation? Is it relevant to us today? The answer is yes but not in religion. God desires for us to enter into a personal relationship with Him. He reveals Himself to us through His Word. God manifests through His body, the Church. The individual beleiver was created with a spirit to host God.
Invitation to our church…offer a unique venue. The “full gospel” is a separate experience, with the infillment of the Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in tongues. Have you received the gift of the Holy Spirit? When we give gifts there is something offered with a gift tag…from and to….this gift is a “whosoever” gift given by God. Seek the Person not the process or the evidence. Traditional church pushes works at the expense of relationship. Most people live by their logic and/or emotions and are left wanting with wrong teaching. We invite you to examine the Word of God not fanaticism or someone’s experience/opinion. People don’t come to church because they have been disappointed with the wisdom of man (I Cor. 2:4,5) and it is our prayer that you are enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge..so that you come short in no gift (vs 7) NKJV
We made invitation to preview what we believe and introduced church. Jn. 14:6 Jesus is the Way, Truth, Life. The question brought to the table was ” Is truth absolute?” Death and life are…death is not cessation of life but separation. There are two kinds of life…natural (physical) and spiritual. Bible is the Word of God and is Truth. This is relevant and absolute. Truth = Reality. What is your reality of God in your life?
Who are we? Christians….? Is the Word of God relevant today? Does God still reveal Himself? How do we walk out our Christiain life? What is the purpose of attending church in the 21rst century? How do I know which one to go to? Why are there different denominations? Beliefs …are they based on man’s thoughts/ideas or God’s Word? God’s Word gives instruction and teaching as to how to walk out this Christian life today.
