Job had lost everything and his body is covered with sore boils.  His wife and friends tell him to curse God! He must have thought, “Here I am sitting with everything taken away from me, what happened? Brokenhearted and alone, why did God do this to me?  Satan did it!  Job’s response, “I’m in God’s hands…I put myself there.” What a place to be!  9 months later God restored everything the devil had stolen and doubled it.  It is very important that we understand it is not God, so we don’t let the enemy come and steal from us again.  We can get entrapped by wrong theology.  God couldn’t do anything for Job until Job asked Him to.  Life brings choices and consequences.  God stepped back and is transcendent (looking in ).  He has limited Himself to His Word/covenant.  When we pray to the Father in Jesus’ name He will get involved. I Peter 5:8 the enemy (satan) seeks to devour, in the Hebrew this means drink down.  Spirit is always referred to in terms of water.  He drinks up the water (spirit) and we have no life.  Satan’s goal is to separate you from God, His Word, and truth. The things in your life that steal, kill, and destroy are his work.  Don’t blame God!  Sometimes we say, “Okay God, here I am…where are you?  Why aren’t You here?”  God didn’t move, you moved away from Him.

Who are you allowing to speak into your life?  Walk in the integrity of God’s Word and don’t be influenced by wrong associations.  Walk in the revealed truth of God’s Word, resist the enemy and his slandering lies, mind games…and he will flee from you.  Discern what/who to turn away from and what/who to turn to.  Let your response be as Job’s was….worship and God will keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed on Him!
