If God controls everything…why is the world in such a mess?  If I pray for God to take care of stuff…why is my life such a mess?  Notice Eph. 4:27 don’t give place to the devil.  2 Cor. 2:11 Satan is an adversary, don’t let him take advantage of you to dupe or deceive!  Don’t be ignorant of his devices!  If we don’t know Truth (God’s Word is Truth), we will not know the answer to these questions and we will be duped!  We must look at 2 Cor. 10:5 to examine the standard of our warfare.  We do not engage with our adversary after the flesh.  It is a spiritual contest.  Job is an example of this scenario.  Job 1:10 Satan cited that Job’s righteousness was a hedge.  God makes us His righteousness in the New Covenant and this is also our hedge.  The book of Job is like a play unfolding before us scene by scene.

Can satan put forth his hand against us?  Is he permitted to be in God’s presence?  If God cannot have evil how was he able to present himself before the throne? Job did not know who to attribute the bad circumstances to because he was ignorant of the covenant.  Scholars believe he lived before the time of Abraham.  He did not understand his authority nor his adversary.  Your faith is the level of the knowledge of God’s Word (Truth).  This is where the battle is and satan does the “to and fro” thing.  Too often you are trying to wrap yourself around all kinds of stuff you have no business wrapping around.  We are commanded to renew our minds and possess our souls.  We can walk our life out in peace, through the promises of God(His Word) by the power of His Spirit!
