Choices/Circumstances/Consequences #7 (06/24/15)

This show started with Eph. 4:27/2 Cor. 2:11  Don’t give place to the devil or be ignorant of his devices.  The question posed: “If God’s in control of everything, why is this world in such a mess?”  Answer:  Don’t touch the knowledge of good and evil. Knowledge and obtaining such is not wrong…but what are we doing with it?  There are two kinds of knowledge…sense and revelation.  Sermons should not be purely intellectual, neither should people “check their brains out at the door.”  The confusion lies in the words power (dynamis), and authority (exousia).  There was a transfer of power,  dominion was lost in the garden and transferred to satan who became the “god of this world/age” (2 Cor. 4:4).  Satan rules through sense or natural knowledge.  God’s knowledge is higher.  This is why I can’t blame God for the world’s mess.  Satan has established his kingdom as the prince of the air, he’s not in hell yet.  He’s right here.

What do we see in this world?  Chaos and confusion.  God is not the author of confusion, but rather wisdom, peace, and joy.  Not the utopia, euphoric thing..woo woo, way out there kind.  Adam was given the commad to dress/keep the Garden.  Our spirits are the garden now, we are to plant the seeds of God’s Word, it should be a well watered garden..but it is up to us.  We are the authority over our life, our spirit, our mind.  Yes, we make choices, but there will be consequences that dictate circumstances.  God bless my mess?  No!  God wants us to walk by a standard contrary to this world order we live in, the standard of faith.  Appropriate the Word of God, let faith rise, remove the mountains of resistance and walk out your victory!
